"I don't know if I want to spend the rest of my life with them..."⁣ ⁣ HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS! ⁣ ⁣ I barely know what I want for dinner tomorrow. Let alone a relationship forever. ⁣ ⁣ I mean it definitely sounds wonderful. 1 Relationship for the rest of our life - someone to rely upon and grow old with. But the reality is life is so complicated now there's so many expectations put on relationships. There's so many expectations we put on ourselves. And life in general. That many of us simply don't know and literally don't have the capacity to predict/anticipate our needs and desires in the future.⁣ ⁣ This ends up causing a great amount of anxiety. The same anxiety causes disconnection. And ultimately leads to a decrease in satisfaction. Instead of being so focused on finding a forever law of her being able to anticipate the future of a relationship. Shift towards cultivating relational satisfaction in the present. Shift towards accepting your partner in the present.
