Not many people know, but I had a career in property for over 10 years; prior to the events game. In fact, it has been 5 year nearly to the day since I decided to leave and pursue my own dreams. It could be said it was a successful career, one of the top 3 negotiators out of 600+ at Foxtons, helped a new firm build an entire lettings department; before moving on to one of London’s largest agents, opening and managing their flagship branch in Bayswater. Just before I left, I completed their biggest ever lettings deal from start to finish, with a fee of over 200k to the company. Also popped up in a few publications now and then lol 😆 To this day I still do property consultancy, after all I’ve got a fantastic network of vendors, landlords and developers and a great deal of experience. I’ve recently helped a boutique agency in London with much needed training, processes and structure for their lettings department. Just something I thought I would share and don’t get me wrong, I would never do it full time or for anybody else; and it was the best thing I ever did leaving. The experience and network built however, is priceless and those 10+ years have taught me so much that I have taken into other aspects of my life, such as time management, follow up, account management, negotiation, training, public speaking, leading teams, dealing with high net worth clients, handing issues and so much more.
