Thank you to the California AAPI Legislative Caucus for honoring @hateisavirus and me with the Excellence in Advocacy award at our State Capitol yesterday. I was so moved to share this historic space with my fellow AAPI honorees, including 14-year scientist and entrepreneur, @coderbunnyz, inspirational community leader @manufouanoai, the hilarious and brilliant @kenjeong, Dr. Charles Huang, Dr. Peter Bret-an, Bryan Ha, and @shoheiohtani. Thank you Assemblyman @aimhighgetlow for your nomination and advocacy of our community in these rooms. Learning about the other honorees and their diverse backgrounds was another reminder of how movements are carried forward not by an individual alone, but by a community. Each of us play such a unique and pivotal role in pushing this movement forward. Grateful for all the work of the organizations and leaders before us who have paved the way for us to do this work and honored to continue building the movement alongside current and future generations of leaders, including my co-founder Michelle Hanabusa @mkhanabusa and team from @hateisavirus among other incredible organizations and leaders.
