What begins as a funny, campy tale of a bunch of young horny, partying Greenwich Village friends in 1979 (with a lot of retro humor and meta winks about the years to come and a LOT of disco dance numbers with hot go-go boys) then becomes something very poignant and heartbreaking and then, ultimately—and I know this sounds like a cliché—incredibly life-affirming. I left with tears in my eyes literally thinking about how grateful I was for my life, my friends, my memories, for another day of life and human connection. This is Donna Summer meets "Our Town"!
