A few weeks ago, a coworker in Nashville told us it was her one year anniversary. We’ll call her “Amanda”. She said before coming to ABLE to be a jeweler, her addiction challenges lead her to losing custody of her first child to the foster care system. Then she was imprisoned, and there she discovered she was pregnant with twins, who also went to foster. After getting out and into rehabilitation, she committed to her sobriety and became healthy and got her twins back. She heard of ABLE through a friend, and she said, “I had to have a good job and stable home to get my eldest son back, and with my job at ABLE I was able to get custody of my son again.
