Throw back to my debut in Turkey, an experience that I will never forget. This gig meant so much to me for multiple reasons. One, @klein.harbiye was one of the first clubs I started going to when I was studying in Istanbul. I met a lot of local DJ’s there and focused on networking to get some photography jobs in the industry. Two, it was the first time I heard @mathame_ perform, which impacted me a lot in the style of music that I currently play, a sound that has a driving baseline, combined with emotional and cinematic melodies. Third, my dream of becoming a DJ started in Istanbul, it was more than 3 years ago when an inner voice inside of me said, “one day, I’ll be behind the decks”. I think the last 2 photos pretty much sum up how I was feeling once I finished my performance; extremely overwhelmed by the beautiful reaction of the crowd, it was a very emotional moment.
