Black Pepper Paperie Co. is pleased to announce Hadiya’s newest collaborative project with iconic interior design company @schumacher1889 on a collection of wall coverings, textiles, and pillows. The collection was inspired by Hadiya’s ongoing search for home. “The Wiz, one of my favorite films/musicals, instantly came to mind. From the story to the music, the style, the design and visuals from the mid to late 1970s.” Like many Black Americans, Hadiya is always studying and seeking connections to what feels like home, lineage, safety, and community. “Bringing together the stories of the African Diaspora and the Great Migration, I decided to use that idea of way-finding as the foundation for this collection.
