I ❤️ HAWAIIAN PIZZA. (Even though it’s not Hawaiian, it’s Canadian—but the 🍍 are grown in Hawaii!). Here’s my very rough technique: Find the @robertaspizza crust on @nytcooking (or use your fav); add fav pizza sauce (mine is a large can of tomatoes, puréed, 1.5 tsp kosher salt, 1 tsp oregano rolling simmer for 15 minutes + 4 TBS butter); fresh mozzarella; slices of fresh pineapple (the sweetest slices are at the bottom of the pineapple bc sugar is heavy, use those); a lot of prosciutto (not the fanciest); Bake at 550°— or the highest temp your oven will go — until it’s crackly. While it’s baking, toast some sliced almonds in butter and sprinkle w cinnamon. Put those on top of the pizza just before slicing. Oooof. Man that’s good. Do it however you want, it’s great. Make it YOURS! ❤️ And gimme your thoughts on the whole dang thing!!!!
