My goal in playing drums has always been to serve the song with what I choose to play. Sometimes that sounds like playing the least I can. I’ve found that in some of the simplest moments, I’ve felt the biggest magic. This is the easiest thing I’ve recorded in the last 3 days and it might just be my favorite. It’s not boring or uninteresting, it’s what the song needs and that’s what good music deserves and that creates magic.
