A common unit of post-show conversational currency: the “Hey, great show” from someone in the crowd to a member of the band. My response these days, more certain than ever before: “Great show yourself!” It’s called a concert for a reason: we all do it together. The show is a circuit of energy between its every participant - the performers, the concertgoers, the venue staff, the venue itself, even the weather. No matter how the show goes, it’s OUR show. It struck me last night in the glorious glare of our sundown set that we are each instruments playing each other, playing and being played by our surroundings, each of us a series of strings resonating just slightly, beautifully, out of tune with one another- not far enough for dissonance, not close enough to phase out into disappearance. Thank you all for making this run with @amnthewilderness & @dashboardconfessional such a gorgeous golden daze, for lending your frequency to this summer symphony as it unfolds.
