why food? people ask me. why cooking? I never know how to reply. I didn’t choose to become a chef- I simply fell in love with the stories born of and through food, how a delicious meal can connect us deeper with our sense of self, of place, of community. what started as a gift for friends huddled around my table continues to blossom, and today, upon reading these words by joy harjo, it finally clicked. hope you’ll join me for more to come and be shared, inviting you to gather and learn and create at the university of your very own kitchen table.
