when I was pregnant, I was afraid of the thought of having a baby girl. the pressure to be a good mom and to “get it right”. to teach her confidence, strength and humility. to raise her to love herself, to appreciate her beauty and individuality. to never doubt herself, her abilities or her intuition. to never underestimate her potential, to see the best in any situation and to live her life with gratitude. how could I teach all of the things I felt I was still learning myself? as it turns out, I got it all wrong. she wasn’t meant to do any of the learning. she is the one who was meant to teach me all of these things all along 🤍
