I seriously love a Daiquiri, but in true Spirit & Spoon fashion I always look for ways to riff on and or edit the original spec. I decided to use a fun esoteric spirit made from Prickly Pear made from the fruit of Nopal Cactus. It’s got delicious flavors of fresh fruit and desert earth. I decided to make a light clove syrup to play along with these flavors and an optional touch of spice. Desert Daiq 2 oz @venturaspirits Opunita 3/4 oz Lime 3/4 oz Clove Syrup CR Citrus Smoked Lime Tajin Rim For the syrup : I did 1 cup water to organic cane sugar. I added only 5 cloves as I didn’t want it to overpower the cocktail. As always, cheers my friends!
