(2nd slide is from day we met 🫶🏼) . performance at 7pm by @camiarboles, @annearellano_ , @ebeb.spins and @adeyinwonderland This Friday's performance piece, created on-site by dancers Cami Arboles, Anne Arellano, Devon Cherry and Adey Olaoluwa for Avery Wheless’ exhibition “So does everybody else” at Seasons LA, synthesizes pole dance, acrobatics, contortion, and hand balancing to reimagine and push the boundaries of the female form in movement. Each painted figure is on stage, ready, holding space for the viewer in their own performance. "We wanted to create a dialogue between paint and flesh by bringing moving, breathing bodies to interact with the work—creating a piece where a moment frozen in time joins the present through movement. " When we blur the lines between work and play, between reality and dreams, between past and present moments, we give ourselves grace to fill a new shape, a new form of being.
