Fruit Butters (or Fruit Cheeses as you may find it called in the UK) - were developed during the medieval era as one way to preserve fruits without the need for refrigeration. A delicate art that tends to be known here in the membrillo form, yet there are are so many fruits that lend themselves to this delicious state.
This season we’ve started producing, in quantity, single farm fruit cheeses.

Add these to any cheese plate — Gravenstein paired with a sharp cheddar, Membrillo with fabulous Manchego, or Damson Plum with a camembert or Stichelton. I’m sure our friends at @dtlacheese and @ladyandlarder may have some brilliant other ideas.
Have leftover bits? Turn them into a melty sandwich with cheese like raclette! Or cut into small pieces, spritz with h20 and toss in sugar and citric acid for a vegan sour candy. 🍎🧀
