We are so proud to announce that Julia Jackson has been named to @wineenthusiast’s Future 40 of 2022. An evolution of the magazine’s annual '40 Under 40', Wine Enthusiast selected forty inspirational people shaping the way we drink wine and changing the future of the drinks business. This year, the editors choose to celebrate Julia and her environmental work for this esteemed list. In 2018, Julia launched @grounded, a nonprofit dedicated to scaling earth-based climate solutions. Julia has become a leading voice and passionate climate activist. She has dedicated her life to the environment on a global scale, identifying and amplifying necessary climate solutions and building a community of changemakers that can mitigate the worst impacts of the climate crisis. Additionally, Julia is a Co-Founder of the Keystone Species Alliance and the Chair of US Allies to Stop Ecocide and was recently appointed to the California State Board of Food and Agriculture by Governor Gavin Newsom. Julia’s work is an important part of the Jackson family’s legacy devoted to conservation and preventing the impacts of the climate crisis. She continues to lend her global expertise and work with the family as we collectively hope to move the wine industry forward with our goal to become climate positive by 2050.
