Our pieces carry the essence of the communities whom we collaborate with. Each textile has a different soul. The hands of every artisan will translate a different feeling onto each piece and impregnate their heritage onto their work. These communities are our greatest inspiration; their devotion to family traditions, ancestral craft, preserving and sharing their culture. Costaiia started as a doorway to connecting with these communities, learning from them, exchanging ideas and energy. Our design process starts with their craft: it is through touching and exploring each fabrics texture and form that we create our silhouettes.
