There’s a lot of memories for Erik’s father at @mariscos4vientos, one of the og fried shrimp taco joints in LA. He built it with his own two hands (literally), starting off with just a homemade cart made with tires from a bike. He even met his future wife because of the business - she was a patron of the cart herself.
The food is mostly reflective of Jalisco, but more recently they’ve added dishes from Baja with fried fish and shrimp tacos. Obviously most famous for their fried shrimp tacos, but they’re also a go-to for aguachile and oysters.
To this day, semi-truck drivers still call ahead while on their route to have their order ready, honking when they get there to get their tacos.
