✧ The other side of Peyto Lake that not many get to see. No matter the perspective, Peyto always “blue” my mind. Of glaciers, waterfalls and turquoise lakes, lots of “pinch me” moments on this hike. I had to snap to myself a few times from being bewitched. Getting here though was another story. The “crux” of this hike is the river crossings (the water came from the glacier, and the creek above it) flowing down to the lake. The rapid is very strong and freezing 🥶. We had to assess a safe spot to cross each way.🥴 Everytime we cross Rick yells “ I’m Dauntless” & off we went! Never a dull moment with him😄 Our boots & socks were wet throughout the duration of this hike. We were too lazy to change so we yolo’d it. Hahaa..luckily, it was hot so it dried up fast. Reaching the summit was just part of our success. At the end of the day, what matters most is getting home safely.
