9th place World Final, 27:38.73 After never giving myself a chance a year ago in Tokyo, my whole race plan was to just be up front as long as I could. After about 9,200 meters I just didn’t quite have the legs to stay with the top group, but I’m very happy with how I continued to fight and pass two more runners over that final stretch. By no means was this a perfect race for me but it was a huge step moving to where I want to be.
