Coming Soon: Group exhibition “Land of the Lotus Eaters" in #PortoCervo, #Sardinia (2 July – 4 September 2022) The summer group show, ‘Land of the Lotus Eaters’ at Louise Alexander Gallery takes inspiration from the symbolic journey in 'The Odyssey', a voyage through the rough seas of philosophical turmoil to the calm shores of Sophrosyne — known to the Ancient Greeks as 'the lucid mind'. With over a dozen artists, works of languid figures and soft landscapes contrast with unnervingly psychedelic ceramics, textiles, and paintings. A reference to the lure of relaxed island life, often at odds with the harsh landscape.
