A MESSAGE FROM DADSDRINKS: I love what I do, and I respect my peers. That’s a big reason I remove cocktails from previous bar directors if I take over a program. They aren’t getting paid for them and most times it’s because the establishment refuses to take them off. Now a bar refuses to remove cocktails that I have been making and serving for years, one of which being my signature freaky deaky. We are not disposable and our intellectual property is important. It should not be at the mercy of inexperienced and selfish ownership/management. Our creativity is not a commodity. We should be paid fairly (or just paid tbh) for our ideas and creations. Idk if I’m right, but this is how I feel. I’m bummed, but thankfully I work with amazing people now and I’m excited to sling drinks later today with them. Come visit.
