I took this photo many years ago but it points to a challenge in lighting today - how do we recreate very unique colors that don't fall in line with traditional gels or standard colors? To answer it we need a system for communicating color accurately and unambiguously - to identify the color and then know our fixtures are reproducing it faithfully. The system exists if only we are willing to embrace it. When we do, matching colors perfectly is only the beginning and creative opportunities abound.
