There is something special about the last baby. All of their firsts are your last firsts. You try to slow down more to consume it all, in every possible way as you know how quickly time will pass. In some ways it feels like time goes by even faster. One minute you are their home, their safe place and then they are earth side. It feels like you blinked and then they aren’t a newborn anymore. The little grunts and squeaks while they sleep have disappeared and they begin to babble, smile and laugh. With every new milestone brings a sense of joy and heartbreak that this is the last time you’ll experience this. Before you know it they are walking independently and about to turn one 😭 Beautiful baby Lucy, one of my bump to baby clients 😍 such an honour to capture the final pregnancy and newborn chapter.
