allll the things i wish i knew before i started my fitness journey these are keys to success so you can avoid my mistakes and see results faster! 1. cardio doesn’t have to be boring! when i stopped doing cardio that i hated and found ways to incorporate it in ways that i enjoyed i was finally able to stick to it. 2. discipline > motivation. the hardest part of getting into the gym at first is staying consistent! you can’t reach your goals by only going to the gym when you feel like it. stick to the plan you set for yourself and remind yourself that something is better than nothing on days you feel unmotivated. 3. nutrition is 🔑. consuming whole foods will give your body the fuel you need to grow muscle and have energy in the gym! however, i think it’s okay to still treat yourself to things you love and find balance. everything in moderation! 4. slow down and feel the movements. mind to muscle connection is everything when trying to grow your muscles! i used to always rush and go through the motions of my workout without trying to feel the muscles i was working. left so many gains on the table by not incorporating this sooner. 5. rest days are just as important as training days. taking days off gives your muscles time to recover so you can start off the next training week fresh! it also allows your muscles time to GROW and repair themselves. link in bio to train with me 🫶🏽
