Im really a veteran lol 13.5 years I served active duty in the Navy!! I spent a total of 4 of those years on a Navy Vessel , with a 9-month deployment during that time. I spent my first 7 years making it from rank E1 to rank E6 with my last years being a YN1 and leading many, many Sailors! (There are plenty of mini mes out there lol) i have pinned many of Sailors to the next rank and even got to reenlist one (yes i swore her in!) i had A LOT of good times, a few bad times but that just helped me grow! Ive met friends that turned into family, lifelong mentors and it all completely changed my life!! And it all started 17 years ago when my lil boo thang at the time told me i should join…17 years later, im honorably discharged, awarded n recognized for my time in, and the Wife of the man who convinced me to join.. which makes me a Military Wife cuz hubby still in, 17 years strong!
