FLORIDA’S FIRST BIG DAVES CHEESESTEAK OPENING NEAR ORLANDO. Did you know Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks based out of Georgia has finally opened its first location outside of Georgia and it’s here in Oviedo! Grand Opening is this Saturday at noon with a ribbon cutting. Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks started as a small shop in a gas station in Dunwoody, Georgia, named “Dave’s Philly Water Ice,” and later became known as Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, founded by Derrick Hayes in 2014. The real question is are the cheesesteaks worth the hype? The answer is YES! I like a classic Philly for me which is just steak, white American, & onions. And oh boy do they get it RIGHT!
