Dedicating the month of January to addiction, and with that, the first open mic of 2026 is officially on the books. Didn’t land the jokes I was hoping for, and my delivery wasn’t the same as when I practiced at home. I also didn’t study my bit enough, forgot it halfway through, and had to check my phone — totally on me. The big win: I felt very comfortable on stage. That’s a huge step from where I was last year. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — this is going to take years to develop, and I’m in no rush. Just enjoying the process and looking forward to the day when these giggles turn into real laughs.
