i can finally share the short film we made about the painful, beautiful healing journey i write about in Be Not Afraid of Love. we wanted to explore every nuanced emotion that i went through while healing from the abusive relationship i was in; mainly segmented through the chaos and dissociation of fear and the deep presence of love. it feels right to add a visual companion to this book, and especially to pay homage to Asian cinema (biggest thanks to @grocpot and @ozuwasright). we did this with a beautiful team upstate @aerthship, and by collecting beautiful vintage garments, thanks to @depop. all my love to everyone involved. it’s my secret dream to make films about the nuance of emotions. it feels beautiful to put my heart into this work and to have my heart be held at the same time. i hope you enjoy it.
