🚢 Time to swim home 🧜‍♂️ This last week was life changing. I will truly never be the same. I have a renewed appreciation for the culture, craft, and sport of mer-ing. To be deemed an example for the Mer Community from some of the biggest names out there is a feeling I don’t think I could ever properly describe. All I can do is think back to a time when my love for the sea and all things merfolk was met with resistance and shame. THANK GOD I paid those people no mind. Could you imagine what kind of sad alternate reality that would have lead to? But NO MATTER! As King of the Seas, it will be my duty to guide the mer community toward an inclusive and goal oriented society. Under my rule, I will educate on the importance of Merfolk Environmental advocacy, as well as diversity in our social and commercial circles. Alongside @paditv and @padiaware I will develop a collaboratrice initiative called #helpkelp that combines the efforts of both PADI Mermaids and Divers to administer necessary human intervention on kelp forest ecosystems that are past the point of natural equilibrium.
