This week, we’re showing off unique work processes, like those of internationally acclaimed environmental artist, Patrick Dougherty. Dougherty is known for his monumental scale organic assemblages made entirely of interwoven tree saplings. These environmental works require saplings by the truckload. It was magical to watch Patrick transform a room, carving out sinuous, sprawling vine-like forms that appear to grow as he works... letting Mother Nature reclaim the building.
