📷 We laid my beautiful grandmother to rest today. She passed just a few hours after Pennington was born, and while the news was absolutely devastating, I truly believe she held on as long as she could and had a hand in making sure he was born safely. She had the most maternal soul. Her gifts were love, kindness and welcoming everyone who came into her life. Raising 8 kids of her own, to loving hard on 25 grandchildren and 40 (and counting!) great children, she never missed a beat.. down to the very end. They say, “As one life ends, another begins, reminding us of the beauty and resilience of our family bond.” Our bond is one of the most precious I hold in my heart. Nothing hurts harder than not being able to make it back to Pennsylvania to say goodbye today, but how lucky am I to be able to see her love shine through our little Penn. RIP my sweet, funny, adorable Mommom. Thank you for all the precious memories I’ll forever hold in my heart, and for the wonderful traits you passed down. I’ll forever strive to be the amazing woman and mother you were. Until we meet again~ 🕊️
