I had a birthday and then disappeared from social media.. truth is, I felt so much love and community from the people in my life, but birthdays aren’t always the big positive - all your issues- go away moment we like to pretend it is. I had a lot to think about, a lot to digest. Who am I @ 37? And who do I want to be? Life isn’t alway perfect, even on your birthday. I lost a job I really wanted. I checked one of my girlfriends into detox. I heard “no” on a project I was pitching. I fostered a puppy that drove me insane. Gave the puppy to his adopted family. Did orientation to volunteer at LA ASPCA. Been deep into rewrites on a film. And discovering my place on social media. I’ve dug deep into my feelings. And I needed a social detox. And now I’m back. So If you’re like me and life isn’t always a highlight reel to share- I see you. I feel you. 🫶🏽
