Get Ready With Me ✨#grwm Star Party Edition 🌟🌒🔭 with Rangers Rhodes & Rachel! 🎥 Description: Follow along as two rangers set up a large telescope at a scenic overlook in Canyonlands for a Star Party and Night Sky Program. The sun has just about set here at beautiful Green River Overlook in the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park and we’re about to set up! We’ve got a lot of stuff to unpack for the program. Glow in the dark cones, lights (#safetyfirst), a star quality meter, and the star of the show— the telescope! How many rangers does it take to set up a telescope am I right? Just kidding! Team work makes the dream work, and look we didn’t forget to take off the cap! Once the telescope is set up, its time to see what we’re working with and focus the telescope in on a fixed object (or as close as we’ll get to fixed), something like the moon! Which was a beautiful crescent shape for the evening. Then it’s time for what rangers do best, teaching visitors about the park and our beautiful night sky. Canyonlands is an International Dark Sky Park and actually protects some of the darkest skies in the country so its the perfect place to collect some awesome images of what’s out there. While we waited Rangers Rhodes & Rachel pointed out some awesome constellations and some features of our galaxy, and gave a star program.
