I often live by the motto “what are you waiting for?”... so, I decided to make this series live...now. “Rebirth” is special in a few ways, but something that was really important to me this year was to find my inner artist again. I drew inspiration from the Renaissance era, the likes of Michelangelo and DaVinci, those who celebrated the beauty and design of the human body through painting and sculpture. The exploration of light and shadow, form and finesse. I didn’t want to just click a button and be known as a photographer, I wanted to feel like I was creating art again. This has nothing to do with selling a product to me. It was and always will be about the process of doing something new and consistently challenging myself.
