The Demon Within “What is this feeling? After countless attempts at healing, My mind, it’s still racing. & I don’t even know I’m facing. The demon within. He is a part of me, ripping me apart. It’s because of him, I’m left with such an empty feeling in the pit of my heart. What is this feeling? Pain, fear, anxiety, a moment of grieving, Then the demon returns ready to fight. And sometimes it’s darkness is brighter than my own light. The demon within. He is a part of me, a part I cannot ignore. And learning to accept him, I have begun to see so much more.” I’ve taken a bit of a break from this platform. It’s been a tough mental journey as of late and it’s been difficult for me to create art for a while. I don’t really know if I’m okay right now, but time and the support of the people around me has definitely aided in working towards getting better. This piece is the start to my return back to creating for me. A personification of the darkness that has haunted me for the last few months and how I’ve learned to deal with it.
