The Durham Dari Serv has been a really special place to me for my whole life, a really special ritual for my Dad and I. Every year growing up I have marked the beginning of summer by making a trip to the Dari Serv to get a soft serve vanilla cone with a chocolate dip🍦 It would always be a race to eat it before melting down my arm. • I have decided that to celebrate the summer, I am challenging myself to complete one digital illustration every week for the 11 weeks of summer. 💖☀️I will be choosing to recreate local places that have significance to me (what else is new? haha) in an effort to sit with and study my own experiences and gratitude for those places.
