Thirteen years ago I organised a party for the premiere of a film called Boogie Woogie. It was held at an Edinburgh members club called Hawke and Hunter on Picardy Place - who remembers going there? The film starred big names such as @gilliana @mingey @thejackhuston @jaimewinstone and Scottish actor @alancummingreally who held court in the whisky bar all evening. Suffice to say the hangover the next day was legendary... After two nights at the @edfringe this week I’m already starting to flag...and this morning needed something special to nudge away the after effects of my excess. Where else to go than @bross_bagels and what better to try to cure my morning after the night before hunger - than the brand new bagel designed by the man who resulted in one of the worst hangovers of my life...yes, the @alancummingreally We popped along to the Porty branch where the lovely Robin set about creating this masterpiece. Jam packed with the @bross_bagels signature latke, beef tomato, smoky Applewood cheese and tasty veggie @macsweenhaggis it’s like a full Scottish breakfast captured in a bagel. Delicious! With serious healing powers! Thanks @mama_bross and @alancummingreally you might have saved me!
