The black bears are back for some grape snacks! This bear paw print was found by our Vineyard Manager, Ruben, in the Mesa C3 block of our vineyard. The black bears in our area love to come out and much on our grapes right around harvest time. While our Mesa H vineyard block planted in 1978 is fondly known as the "Black Bear Block", Mesa C3 is nicknamed the "baby bear" block. It was planted in 2012 from Estrella Syrah clone cuttings taken directly from our Black Bear Block and is own-rooted. You can taste the "baby bear" block Syrah in our 2019 Amphora Syrah as it is 100% Estrella clone Syrah from our Mesa C3 block. 🍷 #zacamesa #zacamesawinery #zaca
