you go to your first collage class at the local library and the only materials they have to use are magazines featuring your covers - SO EMBARRASSING - so you do your best to make a realistic self-portrait (because duh) and are quite satisfied with the result, but you feel *silly* around the ladies for being subjected to your off-limits rule on acknowledging and/or discussing your notoriety. sigh. you arrive home to show partner and the children your newfound art form. they adore you. a few hours later the children have added their own flare to your portrait and oh my goodness, how darling!
