This week, we co-produced @grandstsettlement’s annual ‘Taste of Lower East Side’ benefit with @c.oneilproductions. We designed a table, inspired by Judy Chicago’s iconic “The Dinner Party” installation to integrate Grand Street’s mission and impact into the event landscape. Through this serpentine table, which represents the unique and non-linear experiences that connect us all, we told the story of individuals supported by Grand Street- from program recipients to employees and board members- and concluded by inviting everyone to take their place at our table. Guests were immersed in the Grand Street world at every turn, with native NYC elements throughout, and bites that highlight the diverse flavors of Grand Street’s home base on the Lower East Side.
