I’m not a painter, yet I find myself in an ongoing exploration of the absence and presence of colour. Where it can be met by light and transformed into another emotion altogether. Ellie is painted with the colours of my golden pinkish heart. I realised recently that fantasy baffles me. I do not reside in the realm of the make believe, but rather I’m entranced by the surreal. That which exists underneath, hidden, yet somehow reachable. That which is exists on the edge of and unkemptly beneath the line. Not quite fiction, yet too not what our eyes are trained to see. I seek to listen with my eyes, see with my mouth, taste with my ears. To disrupt my mind from its processing. I am a voyeur to the underthings, my fingers tap tapping the entrails. This is what I seek in my musings.
