Our first @edit.party collab with 19 creators from across the world!! This year has been challenging for everyone, but that has inspired many of us to look for new connections in new places. In the beginning of quarantine, I was desperate for ways to connect with other creators. I tried streaming my edits on Twitch and Youtube, but found that explaining my every move while editing was exhausting and a lot of pressure. I've never been much of a phone talker, so I had the crazy idea to start a 24/7 zoom call where anyone from around the world could join and work together without any voice chatting. I wasn't sure if anyone would be on board for this idea, but right away people started joining. One of the very first members, @core787, figured out a way to stream music through the call so we could all share and listen to the same music while working! I didn't realize at the time how important it would be to have our mics muted, but this allowed ALL people to feel comfortable joining, even if they didn't speak any English, or had to be quiet in their homes. Over the past 7 months this has grown into an incredible community where we share advice, feedback, show our screens while we edit, and most importantly build friendships. Thanks to @edit.party I have an amazing community of people to share my days with, create with, and even share my life with (@officialmarcorodriguez im lookin at u 😘).
