That every relationship I have is inherently predatory and that I cannot even comfort another girl in the house because that would mean I’m trying to “change them.” The troubled teen industry often targets LGBTQIA+ youth unfairly while they are in “treatment.” Bisexuality is not “predatory” in any way, shape, or form, though it is often viewed as such in these programs. Having friendships or reaching out to a peer for comfort is natural and normal regardless of who someone may be attracted to. There is no shame in loving who you love, and there is no shame in being a good friend.
