Opening a salon is a pretty big deal. ⁣ You need to have the funds (and then some) available to bring your vision to life. You need to obtain licenses, insurances and learn legalities associated with having a business. You need to find the perfect location, then design and decorate the space. It takes time, dedication, and determination. You pour your all into getting your salon ready to serve others, both your future team and guests. It takes GUTS.⁣ ⁣ But keeping a salon open, that’s a whole other conversation. ⁣ It takes perseverance. It takes constant effort and attention every single day. It’s remaining steps ahead at all times. It takes strong leadership. It takes getting savvy learning your business numbers. It takes the ability to think outside the box. It takes true love and care for the people you are serving. It takes belief in your vision even when things are falling apart. And I hate to tell you, at some point they will fall apart. But it’s that GRIT that brings it back together.
