My friend Charley Damski’s first solo album ‘Goner’ is streaming in all the streams. Charley is such a talented songwriter, composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger with an eye for visual aesthetics to boot. ‘Goner’ is the perfect vessel to pull it all together. Charley brought a strong vision to this whole project. I think this record has a gorgeous succinct sonic message with a clear beginning, middle & end. That was Charley’s goal from our first brainstorm meeting in a yard, mid-pandemic, and it was such a great payoff to feel it come to life at his release show this past weekend. I’ve been making music with Charley and Adam and a lot of these guys for years now, and it’s such a fulfilling part of my career to have our friendships and musical connections grow in tandem.
