As Oliver’s best friend and biggest fan - I am so excited that he just announced his debut album ❤️ The song Hideous in particular, speaks openly and honestly about his HIV status. This is something that I’ve watched him deal with privately over our years together. It’s been painful and still makes me emotional to think of what he has been through BUT I love that in true Oliver style he has brought celebration, openness and his sense of humor to counteract the darkness and to shine light on shame and fear. Oliver, this is obviously not easy to share and I have endless respect for you. I hope in releasing this song it will bring catharsis, a weight lifted from your shoulders and also help others who have been diagnosed with HIV.
