Hi there, @cori_sculptedstudios here to talk about my POWDER BROW CORRECTION PROCESS ✨swipe through to see the results achieved over two sessions. Can you spot traces of the my client’s old microblading? My client had microblading done elsewhere about a year ago, and came in to have her brows “touched up.” I get requests like this often, and hopefully sharing this process will give a little insight as to why working over previously tattooed brows is often not just a “touch up,” but a full correction. First, I assess the current shape and saturation. If the old tattoo is within the confines of the shape I would like to give the client, and the color is not too dark, I can work with it. If the shape is too far outside of the realm of what I would consider flattering, and the color is too saturated for me to correct with more tattooing, the client will have to go through some removal before we can proceed. There were parts of the old shape that I did not want to reinforce, but fortunately those areas were light enough that I was able to leave them out of my new shape so they would continue to fade. In the meantime, my client may cover those small spots with concealer if she feels so inclined, or she may seek out spot removal. The previous microblading was done too deep in some areas, resulting in thick grey/blue blown-out strokes. When working too deep, the needles penetrate tiny blood vessels in the dermis, and the pigment spreads underneath the skin. Hairstrokes that are meant to look crisp and delicate end up healing thick, ashy, and unnatural. Those strokes are very tricky to cover, and here’s why: CONTINUED IN COMMENTS 👇
