Finding something deliciously new and out of the ordinary when it comes to food is what I live for. I’ve heard many folks say that San Antonio is not really a good food city. “It’s all Tex-Mex” they say. If that’s what you think, you’re not looking deep enough. This city is rich with dope local spots that dish out quality fare. Gems like this pie from @truthpizzeria that’s loaded with mozzarella cheese, sweet Italian sausage, caramelized onions, sliced pear, and dabbed with a nice subtly pungent gorgonzola can be found peppered in all over this city. A unique slice that reassured the very reason I started this food journey. This is one of the best slices I’ve enjoyed all year and to share it with my boy made it all the more special. So get out and refrain from the chains. Find that Mom & Pop, that local hole in the wall. Support these folks that drink the same water. That have kids that go to the same schools as yours. Folks that complain about the same rush hour traffic you’re stuck in.
