Playing with tone on tone is one of my favorite things to do in my work. I believe the way each hue and shade of color interacts with each other can tell a different story, evoke an emotion, inspire a visual. To create the hues I desire, I personally hand mix my oil colors. It takes great effort to achieve color consistency as one can never know how the colors may turn out if the measurement proportions were more or less than the original first layers.
